PSR – Home-Based and Classroom Based Catechesis St. Isidore's Parish School of Religion, better known as PSR, offers religion classes for youth who attend public or private schools (youth that attend Catholic schools attend religion classes at their respective schools). PSR classes include formal instruction as well spiritual and fun activities. Our Elementary PSR program for students on the
elementary level is home-based. Home based means that it is an essential
requirement for parents to spend quality time each week working on the lessons
with their children. Meeting on a monthly basis, the scheduled PSR
sessions are designed to be a review of the material that families covered at
home. PSR sessions are not a time for full and complete instruction, but a
time to review and assess material covered at home. Our Jr and Sr. PSR program for students is home-based and classroom based. Meeting on a weekly basis, the scheduled PSR sessions are a means of exploring our Catholic Faith. It is the responsibility of the parents to ask their children what was discussed in PSR classes and to expand on the subjects covered. This too should be done weekly.
